Newman Notes And News

 Daddy built this shed in 1969. Then he disassembled it and moved it to Borrett in 1975.  Jeremy and Lee recently disassembled it again and Jeremy moved it to Las Cruces and rebuilt it once again. He had to put on a new roof and replace the floor supports (because there were termites in the supports). And he has treated it for termites and will continue to do so for awhile.  But so far, he is happy with it! 

A couple of weekends ago Lee and I went to Round Rock and Salado for a baby shower for Amber and Harry. On the way Google maps suggested a different route than we had ever gone before - getting off I10 not too far after Fort Stockton and then up through Iraan and Eldorado and Menard to Mason vs continuing East on I10 to Junction and through London to Mason. Lee caught a glimpse of what looked like a fort near Menard and said we should go check it out on our way back home. So we did.  Here are some pics: First off, a butterfly.  This is supposedly where James Bowie scratched his name, but spelled Bouie.  I do not know the significance of these pennies, but there  sure were a lot of them.   I have never had so many stickers in my shoes in my whole life! This was a place I had never heard of before and I am sure glad Google maps suggested going that way!

I didn’t actually get to participate in Halloween this year. I got sick the day before and didn't fully recover until the next Monday 😭. I even bought a jacket and mask that I was going to wear (Actually, I’m pretty sure going to the Spirit Halloween is what got me sick lol)! On the bright side though, I do now have this cute skeleton hoodie!  In other news, since I’ve been stuck in the house with back problems, and then getting sick, I’ve decided to really learn to crochet. I picked up a beginners kit, and have been going crazy making these cute little stuffed animals!
